Flu Season Off to Early Start: Here’s How to Fight It

The CDC announced at a recent conference call that thirty states are seeing flu activity this year already. That’s the most in a decade. These states are seeing widespread activity:

  • California
  • Louisiana
  • Maryland

Seven other states are seeing regional activity:

  • Alabama
  • Florida
  • Indiana
  • Nevada
  • New Hampshire
  • Tennessee
  • Texas1

An early start to the flu season could indicate a more severe flu season, but this is not always the case. However, this is a stark reminder to take action now to help reduce the impact of the flu. The stats from the 2017-2018 flu season2 showcase how serious the flu can be.
